Megan is a yoga teacher (RYT 200), wellness advocate with doTERRA and motherhood enthusiast (she has two little boys).
Manawa Wellness is her mission to inspire, teach and provide tools for others to live their most authentic, embodied and healthy version of themselves.
Megan combines her background in Mental Health (M.S.) with her studies of yoga and essential oils to offer clients antidotes to their busy lives.
What Is Manawa Wellness?
slowing down and finding connection with a more intentional life
nourishing ourselves, especially as moms, to increase the health and well-being of our families and communities
using natural tools to enhance our homes and our overall wellbeing-- without sacrificing efficacy or personal style
Manawa is a word used by the Maori people of New Zealand to mean heart, breath, integrity and love. With great respect for the time Megan spent in New Zealand, it is her greatest hope to integrate the meaning and to serve people from the heart.
My Wellness Journey...
Ten years ago, I did the craziest thing I’ve ever done. I finished grad school (M.S. Counseling), got engaged, married and moved to New Zealand- all in the space of one summer.
Each of those events redefined my life, forcing me to introspect deeply and become more in touch with myself. One of the key take aways from being an expat in New Zealand was their use of natural tools.
These days I'm stateside. Living on an Island in the Pacific on the opposite side of the world (near Seattle) with my husband, two young boys, and goldendoodle.
My continued passion for holistic natural remedies and yoga lead me to become a certified RYT 200 yoga instructor and work with doTERRA as an essential oils educator.
Motherhood is the catalyst for Manawa Wellness. After the birth of my second son, I struggled with Postpartum depression in a way that shook me to the core. Subsequently, I have been on journey to live a more intentional and healthy life. It is my greatest honor to work with others along their wellness journeys too.
